See examples of Poser Figures above, don't sweat me though. I made them all.

In This Tutorial I'll be showing you how to create a very simple poser eWrestler. There are plenty of Poser4 tutorials that shows you how to apply clothes, textures, etc. I am only going to show you how to create a wrestler.

First thing's first. Open up poser 4. Once all the crap and advertisements load, this should be the first screen you see.

That's Mr. Friendly, he wants to be your neighbor. Hello Mr. Friendly...let's get rid of you now. There's not much we can do with this figure. We must start fresh.

That large yellow arrow I drew points to a slider on the far right of the entire screen. Click that slider and it will open up this next image below.

It's time to replace Mr. Friendly with Lex Luther from Smallville. Do this by clicking the top link which says "figures". Click it! Good bye Mr. Friendly. Clicking "figures" will open this image below

You'll notice a slider at the right, use that to scroll through the images until you see "P4 Nude Man". At the bottom of the side bar after selecting "P4 Nude Man" you'll see a check mark, a double check mark a plus sign and a minus sign. Click the first check mark which indicates "Change Figure". If you click the double check mark then Mr. Smiley will be behind Lex Luther and Lex doesn't like that. Especially because he's naked. So just click the first arrow.

Where Mr. Friendly once stood should now be Lex. You'll notice that his penis is much larger than yours. In fact, it's huge. You wish you had a member the size of Lex's. So that you're not jealous and hurt, let's get rid of Lex's penis. Let's chop it off. Sorry, Lex but they had penis envy and you must pay.

From the Poser 4 menu at the top of the screen. You'll see "figure" scroll down and then click "genitalia", Lex's penis will fall off and you wont have to be angry anymore. Next you'll want to change Lex's appearance. Let's change how big and strong Lex appears. Wrestlers are big and strong and so will Lex.

If you look right below Lex's feet, you'll notice how cute his little feet are. There's nothing we can do about this you jealous bastard. We are looking for the second arrow. In this example the arrow says "Hip", you want to click the arrow and change the option.

Yep, you got it. Change the option to "body" as seen above. THis is will change the bar next to Lex's head. If you still have the "figures" box open, then use the slider we talked about to close it.

The box above should be right next to Lex's image. You can play with these options but I'm just going to talk about the very top. It says "super hero", you want to use your mouse and click the dial until your Lex is as big and muscular as you want him. If you use any of the other dials, they wont change the entire body, just body parts at a time.

See! Now Lex can beat up Superman! Lex is huge and ripped like a Steiner and he has NO PENIS! I included a small picture of the number setting that I used to make Lex inflate (It's the steroid dial) You can see in the above image. Before Lex should out looking for Superman, he should put on his clothes! He might get arrested!

You want to click "render" from the Poser 4 menu like earlier. Then click "Render Options" on the list.

You see a bunch of stuff you probably don't understand. Don't worry, you're not stupid..just ignorant. I'll help you out. Main Window will change Lex as you see him. It's better to select "New Window" which will put up a brand new image with Lex wearing clothes. You can also change the height and width of the new picture. You want to select "Anti Alias" that's what us smart people call "making blurry lines neat and pretty". Click use bump map, click use feature maps. It's up to you whether you use Shadows or not. I don't like to use shadows but some people do. You can play with these options. Next, you want to select whether you use the poser background color or the black background. In this example I am using the Poser background because I am using black clothes on my naked Lex. Black on Black doesn't look good. Don't click "Ok" click the button that says "Surface Materiel"

The above image will open. This is important. Lex is "figure 1" so keep that the same. "Skin" is what you want to put clothes on so makes sure it says "skin". As a matter of fact, don't touch anything except where it says "Texture Map". You'll see a button that says "load". I'll explain how this works.

You want to find this texture on your poser 4 program files. It's called "P4 Man Texture" this is where mine is located. [C:\Program Files\MetaCreations\Poser4\Runtime\Textures\Poser 4 Textures] It's on my "C" drive and that is the exact path. Yours might be the exact same. This is where we have some fun with the Dead Version of Lex. Someone skinned Lex alive and took out his eyes, teeth and tongue. DO NOT CHANGE THE SIZE OR FILE EXTENSION!!! It must remain the same size and it MUST BE A .TIFF file!! Save as .TIFF! I'll explain further below.

This looks stupid but the Poser 4 program will render this mess as a 3d image. I used Micrografx picture publisher to add some simple shapes and lines and boxes to cover up Lex's body parts. You can use any picture editor as long as it supports .tiff files. Try Photo shop or something. I even put a small box on the top of his head and you'll see why later. This takes practice and more practice to get just right. Save this image anywhere but where you found it. Save it where you can remember where it is and what you saved it as. I saved mine on my documents as P4man8.tiff

So now you can click "load" and open your edited .tiff file. Hope you remember where you saved it.

The second button next to "surface materials" says "Render Now" you may now click it.

A new windows pops open and starts rendering your Lex. Now Lex is all suited up and ready to go kick some super ass! He's wearing a skull cap, arm bands, knee pads, boots and black driving gloves and one cool ass shirt that I made out of very small images. You can use your image editor to make minor changes and make the image look better.

There are many tutorials that show you how to add hair, clothes, shoes, add tools and everything else. There are thousands. Just do an online search. Making a Poser Wrestler however is a little different. They are big and strong and it's hard to use Poser clothes on muscle bound posers. It can be done but it takes time to learn. This tutorial is the easiest way to make custom Poser Wrestlers.
