Today we'll cover what you {the fed-head} should put on your new fed (homepage):
Content
Everything I am about to tell you is my own opinion in which you can
take however you want;
Breaking news/Updated content/Notes: I feel all feds should have a text space with some kind of Intro. or news about the feds going on. It shouldn't be a long drawn out story that makes the page design look horrid, if you have a lot to say use a paragraph on the home page and continue your novel on sub-page/s.
The main logo: As you see its not first on the list, because its important but not imperative. Most people can't make one or don't know how to get one. Learn your HTML and just make your font size huge. But people NEED to know what the title of your fed is.
Links: I gave this its own section because I'm tossed up between feds that have everything on their homepage and everything set apart in links. Let me explain; some feds have EVERYTHING right on the homepage such as, top ten E-wrestlers, champions, roster, staff Etc. Sometimes this looks good and saves the visitors some work. But most times it just looks stupid. I think you should have a side-bar links section on your page or some kind of itemized link section.
Role-play board: I shouldn't have to explain this, but ya never know! Mainly because I've never been in and never saw the fun in an email fed. Whats the fun in insulting your opponent if he can't read it? There are way too many free board-hosts popping up, I can't update the boards link fast enough. I think the Role-play board is very important if not the most important thing these days
OOC board: Out of character boards makes the fed more fun (to me). They always made me constantly visit the fed with all the arguments and insults and the announcements.
Roster: You need a page to show the list of current members to your fed. It should also contain info and descriptions of them. Height, weight, etc.
Champions page: How else would the up and coming members know who to prepare for? Other than reading every single role-play until they find the champ. BTW, you should have a reasonable amount of titles. I think its biased to have just a single world champion. And if you have a world, IC, tag, hard-core, TV, jobber, womens belts that makes the fed less fun, what do you have to work for if everyone has a belt? I say have a world, IC, Tag and MAYBE hard-core.
Wrestler benefits: You should award your wrestlers with something being they're working for free. A top ten, best role-play, quote of the week, wrestler of the week would be good.
Two Cards: Two events I think is just right, it gives enough action without letting the wrestlers get bored. I don't understand why people feel you have to role-play so much though. Why cant we role-play once per card and whose ever role-play is better wins? That is the main reason feds die, wrestlers get bored and sick of role-playing so much and quit. Why not ONCE! Say it with me: ONCE!!! LoL
PPV? PPVs are looked forward to; they show off the hard work of the staff and members. But Id just as soon not have them, hey- whos paying me?
History Page: Title History, Stats, History of the fed. Past results, people want to know these things.
