So, what you're saying is that Wrestling Society X would have been good? No. Even with the bands not on there or a longer slot time...no. I respect your opinion, but whoever booked the show was horrible. (Then again, I am sitting on my duff responding to a reply. :-p)

I don't think the "Hardcore" division is a bad thing...as long as the right people do it. In WWE, there really is no one who is worth having hold it. What, can you see a harcore match up between MVP and Randy Orton? Yeah, when I play SMackdown Vs. Raw.

As for the tag team titles, of course it is dead. I agree. When you have teams like Legacy where one member is on his way to becoming a breakout star...and the other one is Cody Rhodes...well, it shows that tag team divisions are pretty much gone. Now, having a tag team PPV where we have Lethal Lotteries for, say, a pair of trophies that claim they were the best team of the night...that would be cool. Instead...we get Bragging Rights.

And, speaking of titles that shouldn't even exist...LEGENDS TITLE? WHATEVER THAT TURNED INTO NOW WITH WORLD ELITE? Garbage. And they bring in Hogan to save them? Hogan isn't excellence...JERICHO...IS...EXCELLENCE. (Sorry, I had to) Anyways...good read man.

A few points to make:

1: Wrestling Society X had a lot of potential and I enjoyed it just because it was different. Had MTV given it a little more time to develop and a 1 hour slot instead of 30 minutes, and gotten rid of the bands playing during the show, it could have been a lot better.

2. Tag Teams consisting of two random guys with nothing else to do is a new thing. A lot of singles stars began as a part of a team, and there have been a lot of star teams in wrestling. In e-fedding, I had a team of my own for quite some time in a fed called EWF that died out a long, long time ago.

3. That same EWF fed also had a Ladder championship, where each title match was a ladder match. It may sound sort of cliche and stale, but I always thought it was a pretty innovative idea and the matches for it were always entertaining. One of my old characters was a long-reigning Ladder champion and even retired the belt shortly before EWF closed(we shamelessly ripped off Medusa throwing the WWF Women's title in a trash can).

4. I always thought hardcore divisions were a lame gimmick and I generally had a low opinion of any e-fed with a hardcore title.

That's all I can think of now. Good article.

People need to realize that the titles are a prop. Something to feud over. Sometimes, it's easier to have a belt to fight over than... a cup of cofffee.

I used to be in a fed where the women could only go for the one title.....it was lame and yeah i definitely didn't stay. If I was rping my ass off to face the same three people over and over again, not really worth my time. I think most feds have the other titles though to give other people a chance to hold one....some people are good but not good enough to beat the top fedders no matter how hard they try. As it goes for tag team titles.....efeds these days just don't get enough people to make tag teams.....imo efed in general is dying because people don't care about the fedding they care about the Character Developmental threads so they can have sex and other "fun" that's their choice i guess but fed heads need to take charge cause when their rpers aren't rping cause of those threads then it gets a little lame.

Actuallly... The VWF redid it's Cruiserweight division a long time ago. There was a time, as a fad, that the Cruiserweight Division was the best guys, and almost all of them moved on and up to hold the higher belts in the fed. Currently, it's renamed the "Middleweight" and used as a lower tier belt.

We also had the fad of Hardcore for awhile, actually expanding the Hardcore Division out to 3 titles, and if you could capture all three, being declared a "Hardcore Icon" similar to a Grand Slam Champion.

The Women's Divisions in feds almost always suck, because most "real" girls don't want to be stuck there, and that leaves you with secondary valet characters to hold the belt. We did away with that, along with Cruiserweights and Hardcore a long time ago.

We still have a Tag-Team Division, but I personally feel that most people want to be singles. Sure, they might have a group or stable, but for the most part they want to be a Singles Champion. It's hard to get dedicated Tag-Teams in e-fedding.

I agree with most of what you said. However, I think that while most fed-heads can't handle or work the tag division the same way they can world a singles division, it still has a place out there. At the least, it can help give 4 people a storyline much easier than having all 4 feud over a singles belt.
